Forest-harvested organic Canadian Eastern White Pine fresh loose leaf whole pine needle tea, hand-picked for superior flavour and aroma.
The tea needles are from Eastern White Pine (Pinus strobus), native to eastern North America and Ontario's provincial tree.
A light to medium-bodied herbal brew with a distinct piney aroma and a mildly sweet and earthy flavour. The colour of the tea ranges from pale green to light amber, depending on the concentration and steeping time. With fresh pine, expect a much more flavourful and aromatic tea.
Pine is a herbal infusion enjoyed as a warm and comforting beverage made from the needles of the Eastern white pine tree (Pinus strobus), a coniferous evergreen native to North America and is also sometimes used in traditional and holistic medicine practices. We are the source of fresh pine tea harvested from the natural woodlands of Ontario.
TO ENJOY: Steep pine needles whole or cut into more delicate pieces to help release more flavours. Prepare tea using water that has reached a rolling or full boil. Use approximately 2-3 tablespoons per cup of water, and feel free to adjust the amount to your liking. Steeping for 15 to 20 minutes will allow more flavour to be extracted from the pine needles. Covering your teapot or cup during steeping ensures a warmer temperature, which helps the needles infuse.
Please note that this item is prepared and sold fresh and has not been stored in any warehouse.
HOW TO STORE: Tea bags should be refrigerated or kept in the freezer upon receipt. Keeping tea bags in the freezer or fridge will ensure they remain fresh, green, and prevent spoiling. Preserving the green freshness is essential for ultimate potency.
